JAY HUNT - CEO AND EXECUTIVE PRODUCER
Jay set up Violet Productions in 2008 to meet the demands of companies wanting innovative and brilliantly shot online videos at realistic prices. The company very quickly established itself as one of London’s best boutique video production companies, delivering professional, compelling and memorable films for clients in all sorts of businesses and for all sorts of budgets. Today Violet Productions works for a number of agencies, charities and individual companies delivering a huge variety of content from snack size 15 second video campaigns for social media to full 30 minute documentaries for screening at film festivals and everything in between.
Jay started her career as a Theatrical Agent, did some stints on the Showbiz desk at the Daily Mail and then moved into television where she worked as producer and presenter for over 20 years and has made a variety of shows for BBC1, ITV1, Sky and Channel 4 including Comic Relief, Esther, Vanessa, The Holiday show, The Truth About Sex Appeal and Hotter Sex! As a presenter she co-presented three series of BBC2’s hit make over show Would Like to Meet and five series of Spendaholics for BBC3. She has also written two books to accompany the tv shows.
PAUL BRAUND - PRODUCER
Paul Braund is one of our favourite regulars and a people finder extraordinaire!! He is an experienced Producer with a diverse range of credits across primetime shows for major broadcasters. Self-shooting, editing and developing stories. He has extensive experience with first series, worldwide projects, difficult access and overseeing teams. Particular strengths include access, casting, development and working with complex contributors. Shows include Secret Life of the Cruise, The Davina Hour and First Dates
JOANNA HANLEY - PRODUCER DIRECTOR
Joanna is a regular face with our clients and is a well established producer/director with over 20 years of experience in television production. She has worked in a wide variety of genres (documentary/factual/ factual entertainment/ entertainment/comedy) and her credits include: When Miranda Met Bruce, Dawn French’s Girls / Boys That Do Comedy, Ruby Wax, Comic Relief, Gadget Man, Dancing on Ice and Famous, Rich and Homeless.
Currently she is working at King Bert where she has produced Ruby Robinson (Sky Arts), Billionaire Boy (BBC One), The Moonstone (5 x 45′ drama series for BBC One) and Ratburger (Sky One).
MARC CAYFORD - DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY
Marc started working as a camera assistant for some of the best cameramen at the BBC over 13 years ago. Learning his trade on film and digital, for the last 10 years Marc has worked as a freelance DOP on everything from Songs of Praise, Panorama, short films to corporate work for clients including Coca Cola, Deloitte and Samsung, winning awards on the way. From documentary to drama, from the UK to the Middle East, Marc adds creativity to the simplest of shots.
Jack has worked in a variety of roles as a camera operator and assistant editor but his passion lies in creating interesting images. He has worked on Glastonbury for the BBC and Later with Jools Holland and is a regular on the BBC Proms. He has also worked on projects for Children in Need, Nike, European Diversity Awards, Grayshott Hall and Courtaulds as well as having extensive experience on USA based documentary projects.
Courtney is our brilliant hard working, never complaining cameraman and camera assistant who never stops working! When not shooting with us he has racked up credits with Renault, Thomas Cook, Greenpeace and Canon but he still says he loves working for us best!
NOEL LE BON - CAMERA OPERATOR
Once a technical evangelist and trainer in the world of computer networks (a world he still occasionally teleports to), Noel started his career as an actor for more than 15 years, with credits including the films A Knight’s Tale, The Illusionist & Last Holiday. He then decided to work behind the camera, and the last 10 years have seen him as a camera assistant and operator and he is expert in operating camera, sound, autocue, jibs and dollies.

Violet Productions works with Ace Post Production for all editing services for clients. Based in west London, Ace provides a complete solution for all client editing needs and our clients have access to preferential rates for all services.
Ace has the latest avid software, machines and technology along with highly skilled and creative staff that provide a friendly relaxed atmosphere and we welcome clients who want to come and get involved with their edits.
All of our client rushes are stored securely at Ace for no extra charge and Ace provides our clients with a one-stop post production shop that can deal with offline and online editing, graphics and sound and 4k request. Along with work for Violet Productions, Ace’s client base includes the BBC and many other broadcast indies.
RICHARD POTTS - EDITOR
Richard at Ace Post Production brings together the brilliant footage the production crew shoot with the latest in Avid editing software and HD edit suites to create innovative and creative films for a variety of clients. Working alongside the production management of Violet Productions, Richard also works extensively on BBC output including the Later… with Jools Holland series, Glastonbury, BBC Proms and other music events. His experience and input is an integral part of forming the narrative for numerous projects and establishing a visual style synonymous with the high production output of Violet Productions.
ADAM DAMPIER - GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Adam is a graphic designer with over 15 years experience working in TV and broadcast. His credits include numerous graphics and titles for BBC, C4, Sky Arts, ITV as well as other lifestyle channels. He is an expert in match-move and 3d animation and welcomes clients with imagination, as he likes a challenge!.
SONSONIA BRIMBLE - POST PRODUCTION MANAGER
Sonia runs Ace Post Production and keeps everything on a tight schedule. She has over 25 years experience as a post production manager and makes sure all our logistics run smoothly. Nothing is too much trouble for Sonia and she rustles up a mean pasta bake to make long edits a joy!
