WE ARE A LEADING VIDEO PRODUCER OF LGBT CONTENT
At Violet Productions we create a lot of LGBT content. We have worked for Stonewall, made a 40 minute documentary for Square Peg Media, filmed at the LGBT Awards and The European Diversity Awards, made a film at the Alternative Parenting Show, a 40 minute documentary voiced by David Furnish on Gay Parenting in the UK and and we cover events for OUTstanding.
This year we were pleased to be able asked to shoot a film for the Kaleidoscope Trust Annual Dinner In January 2017.
Stephen Wall the chairman wanted a film that showcased the issues different countries have in their fight for Equality and the charity contacted some great speakers who were coming to the UK for a conference to film with us. The conference was on the Monday and the dinner was on the Thursday so we had to get the film turned round very quickly.
We had 1.5 filming days and 2.5 edit days. We filmed with a young actor Ned Wakeley, playing the part of Josh a 20 something gay guy highlighting the choices he has an out gay man in London 2017 and then edited together the chats from other interviewees from Kenya, Sri Lanka, Tonga and St Lucia telling us about their fight for equality in their home countries.
We filmed on our favourite C300 cameras and edited at Ace Post Production. The film was shown at the dinner at the Churchill Hotel on January 27th. The charity were really pleased with what we came up with in such a short space of time and we enjoyed meeting an amazing group of campaigners and being able to make a film that did them justice.
